I am a nutrition health coach, and I not only use these enzymes myself to help with digestion, but recommend them to my clients when they are struggling with digesting protein, fats, or carbs. I find that I am less tired after meals when I take one capsule before a meal. I also appreciate how these enzymes help my body utilize the nutrients from my food more effectively.

Fantastic enzymes

I loved the old formula where it acted fast to neutralize any upset in my stomach. So after. But this new formula lasts a lot longer and works when I do it before. And I don’t go through a lot of enzyme. I take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Since it doesn’t have the ingredient that helps up the acid in your stomach, I take it with another supplement. It’s very effective and help me digest my food and help with my hormones.

Love this blend

I love that this has ox bile along with the Betaine HCL. So many enzymes don’t work on the stomach acid and the bile. So, so important in the digestion process

Digestive Enzymes help me get more nutrition out of my food

I am having more difficulty digesting a number of foods now that I am over 50. This product helps me prevent stomach aches, gas and other side effects after I eat and helps me to better digest all the food groups.

Frequently Asked Questions

Digestive enzymes support digestion by breaking down larger molecules into smaller molecules so that they are easier for the body to absorb. For example, a protein molecule is broken down into amino acids, carbohydrates are broken down into monosaccharides (smaller sugars), and fats are broken down into free fatty acids.

The recommended dose is two capsules 15 minutes before each meal, or as directed by your health practitioner. Take before each meal, or before meals with ingredients that commonly cause digestive discomfort.

If Digestive Enzymes are taken prior to a meal, they can help with digestion.

If Digestive Enzymes are taken on an empty stomach, they can help break down inflammation-causing proteins.

Some signs or symptoms you may experience if your enzymes are low include occasional bloating and gas especially after eating, feeling full after eating only a small quantity of food, feeling like food sits undigested for hours, and infrequent mild indigestion or heartburn.
It is generally considered safe to take Digestive Enzymes daily. It is recommended to take Digestive Enzymes until symptoms of digestive distress are alleviated.
Yes, this product is both vegetarian and vegan.
The role of digestive bitters is to stimulate your own body to produce and release the various enzymes that aid digestion. Taking digestive enzymes is giving your body these enzymes. For some people, taking bitters creates enough enzymatic activity that they don’t need enzymes. For others, it’s not enough and they need to supplement with enzymes. So, it really depends on your age and digestive “fire”. We suggest starting with the bitters and see if that’s enough. If not, add the digestive enzymes. You know you’ve taken too many digestive aids when you develop nausea, diarrhea, abdominal cramping or discomfort, headache, neck pain, or nasal congestion.

DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA, THE UK, AUSTRALIA OR OTHER COUNTRIES?

Unfortunately, at this point we only ship to the United States. This is due to the ever-evolving international laws surrounding supplements.

There are forwarding companies like MyUS.com, that will forward orders to you in your country for a fee.

In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to find out in advance if the supplement in question is legal in their country. For example, Progesterone and DHEA are not legal to ship into Canada (Canada classifies bio-identical hormones as drugs so they can only be prescribed by a doctor or naturopath).

We have had customers successfully ship their supplements abroad using MyUS.com, however we have only limited experience with this service.

WHY DOES SHIPPING COST $11.45?

For small businesses like ours, the shipping fee covers the very real costs of getting your order to you: shipping, handling, packaging, warehousing, insurances, and fairly compensating all the people involved along the way. We do our best to keep this shipping cost as low as possible, and offer FREE shipping for orders $79 and above.

WHY DOES MY SUBSCRIPTION ORDER INCLUDE $11.45 SHIPPING?

If you set up a subscription order and notice that you are being charged shipping, it could be due to one of these reasons:

1. Your order value is under $79

2. Your initial order qualifies for free shipping, but the order frequency on your subscriptions is different ( 1 product is set to ship every month, the other is set to ship every 2 months).

*The system automatically splits this kind of order into 2 separate shipments.

In this case it is more economical to set up one subscription every 2 months, and to increase your quantity to 2 units of the supplement that you consume monthly.

For example: 2 Vitamin B6 + 1 Essential Omegas every 2 months = free shipping.

Please email us at support@hormonesbalance.com if you would like some help managing your subscriptions.
