ProgestPure is a highly bioavailable and natural topical progesterone serum providing 20 mg of bioidentical progesterone in each 1 ml serving. It is made from yams - it is then modified in the lab for the progesterone molecule to resemble a human progesterone molecule.

 Suggested Use*:

*WHY DOES OUR PRODUCT HAVE THE CALIFORNIA PROP 65 WARNING?

"Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986" was originally intended to protect drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals. Each year the Governor posts a list of chemicals "known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.

Progesterone is on the list.

Progesterone is a hormone that actually prevents cancer, it also helps with your thyroid, sleep, cycle and moods. It It is necessary for a healthy pregnancy and for bone health. Progesterone also helps reduce the typical symptoms of menopause (mood changes, hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, thyroid disfunction, loss of libido, etc...)

There are four major flaws in the study that caused progesterone to be added to the Prop 65 warning list:  

1- The vast majority of the studies implicating progesterone were done on SYNTHETIC progesterone (progestins and other progesterone-like compounds called progestagens). These studies were NOT based on BIO-IDENTICAL progesterone (as used in our ProgestPure).  

Progestins and progestagens are similar in molecular structure to progesterone, but when they bind to progesterone receptors, their effects are amplified and more likely to cause abnormal responses- just like the ones in birth control pills.

2- The majority of the studies were done in combination with synthetic estrogens. Again,  ProgestPure does not use ANY synthetic hormones.

3-  The few studies done on bio-identical progesterone were done with excessive and unreal doses (from 10 times to 10000 times the standard recommended dose).

4- No studies were done using transdermal creams. Only oral, injected and suppository forms were used. This is important to note because hormones absorbed through the skin are metabolized differently than hormones that are administered via other means.

We were very surprised to hear that our product would bear such a warning, despite it being one of the purest bio-identical progesterone oils available.

We created this product despite the law requiring this warning. We did it because we know how many women will experience relief of their painful symptoms. And, because we know that estrogen dominance is one of the leading causes of breast, uterine, ovarian and thyroid cancers.

*WHY IS THIS PRODUCT NOW SUBSCRIPTION ONLY?

We were forced into making the product "subscription-only" on the storefront because we were unfairly flagged by one of our payment processors for selling a "hormone". Apparently a customer attempted to ship the product internationally through a forwarding service and it was refused at customs, and the processor flagged the product.

In the US bio-identical progesterone is perfectly legal, but it is regulated as a drug in many other countries. The payment processor gave us a choice to stop selling the product altogether or make it so that this processor cannot be used as an option for payment when someone has the product in their cart.

The only way that we can control the payment processor options currently is with subscription orders. We are in the process of disputing the ruling with the processor, but these things take time.
