Estrogen isn’t a bad thing and we need it as women. It’s how we break down estrogen to clean and “dirty” estrogens that makes you Estrogen Dominant.
Foundational Supplements That May help:
Estrogen Reset Super Kit
Brocco PowerThis broccoli extract aids liver phase II detoxification of estrogen. It contains the highest sulforaphane content potential (23 grams) in the market. The myrosinase enzyme aids conversion of glucoraphanin (inactive compound found in broccoli) to sulforaphane (active compound) and vitamin C aids absorption. One capsule is equivalent to 500g of fresh broccoli or 100g of broccoli sprouts. Broccoli sprouts have been revered for their anti proliferation of tumor cells. Pairs well with Calcium d-Glucarate and DIM for a 3-step, complete estrogen detoxification.
Calcium D-GlucarateSupports Phase II liver estrogen metabolism, in the glucuronidation pathway, with a special affinity for natural elimination of excess steroid hormones and environmental toxins. Often overlooked and underestimated compound in resolving estrogen dominance symptoms. Best paired with Brocco Power (sulforaphane) and DIM for a 3-step, complete estrogen detoxification. Should be taken 2 hours away from Rx medications.
DIMSupports metabolism of estrogen in Phase I liver detoxification. Suspended in oil for highest absorption and better results (compared to powder form). Supports beneficial 2:16 hydroxy estrogen ratio. Best paired with Brocco Power (sulforaphane) and Calcium d-Glucarate for a 3-step, complete estrogen detoxification.
Magnesium ReplenishThe most bioavailable form of magnesium that supports natural relaxation and necessary for over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body.
B MaximusThe active form of this B vitamins allows the body to use them readily without having to convert them. Choline was also added to support methylation. B vitamins are key in detoxification and hormonal balance.
Vitamin C BurstAids natural progesterone production, supports adrenal health, and may support optimal thyroid health.
ZincA highly bioavailable form of zinc to support immune function, blood sugar levels, hormone production, and thyroid support.
D3 MaximusSupports hormone balance, immune response, healthy mood, bone health, and sleep.

Did You Know?
Women in peri- and menopause, even though their level of estrogen might be declining or be low, can still experience estrogen dominance.
The key to recovering from Estrogen Dominance is support in Phase I AND Phase II of liver detoxification.
Key strategies to support estrogen detoxification
LIVER SUPPORT Optimizing the liver function and detoxing it may help remove “dirty” estrogens more effectively, reducing symptoms of Estrogen Dominance.
INCREASE PROGESTERONE LEVELS In the case of a low progesterone-to-estrogen ratio, increasing progesterone levels may help. Symptoms of low progesterone levels can include poor sleep, mid-cycle spotting, hot flashes, infertility, miscarriages, anxiety, short cycles, irregular periods, mood changes, and depression.
LOWER INFLAMMATION Inflammation is bad news all-around if you want to get or remain healthy. Your hormone system can’t produce, metabolize and eliminate hormones when inflamed. The fastest way to lower inflammation is by eating an organic, low inflammatory diet.
ELIMINATE SYNTHETIC ESTROGENS FROM SKINCARE AND CLEANING PRODUCTS Switch your bathroom and kitchen products to clean, organic brands and avoid brands advertised in mainstream media and sold in large retail chains.

Symptoms of Estrogen Dominance

Although Estrogen Dominance is very common, it doesn't make it normal or okay to continue to endure symptoms - it can disrupt a woman’s life and lead to serious illnesses.
  • Tender, lumpy, and fibrocystic breasts
  • Estrogenic cancers such as breast, ovarian, uterine
  • Fibroids and uterine polyps
  • Endometriosis
  • PMS
  • Heavy periods and postmenopausal bleeding
  • Irregular periods
  • Mid-cycle spotting
  • Thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer
  • Cellulite and stubborn fat on the butt and thighs
  • Water retention
  • Weight gain, especially around the butt and hips
  • Gallbladder problems
  • Melasma - brown facial discolorations, spots above your lips, on the side of your face, and forehead
  • Spider or varicose veins
  • Allergies
  • Infertility and subfertility*
  • Lack of ovulation*
  • Hot flashes and night sweats*
  • Poor sleep and mid-night waking*
  • Irritability, mood swings, or anxiety*
  • Headaches or migraines, particularly before your period or mid-cycle
  • *symptoms may be due to low progesterone levels

Types of Estrogen Dominance

Why Are you Estrogen Dominant?

There isn’t one cause of estrogen dominance and it’s typically an accumulation of factors that create a “perfect storm.”
  • Elevated inflammation resulting from eating non-organic foods and poor, highly inflammatory diet.
  • Poor liver function (that’s pretty normal, especially as we age), as the liver is responsible for eliminating metabolized or “dirty” estrogens.
  • Digestive issues which inhibit the estrogen detoxification/metabolism process in the liver and overproduce cortisol which blocks progesterone receptors.
  • Chronic constipation.
  • Excess exposure to environmental xenoestrogens – a number of chemical compounds (like phthalates, BPA, SLS, and many others) found in consumer products such as detergents and skincare products.
  • Use of synthetic estrogens such as the birth control pill and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
  • Aging which results in a natural drop of progesterone levels.
  • Lifestyle choices such as drugs (prescription and recreational), smoking, and alcohol.
  • Chronic stress which robs the body of progesterone.
  • Genetic variants that make some women more prone.

3-Step Complete Estrogen Detoxification

Complete Estrogen Detoxification is a process that occurs in your liver and has three important steps to fully metabolize and eliminate "dirty" estrogens and other toxins from the body.

The core supplements in the Estrogen Reset Super Kit correspond with the 3 steps.

Step 1: Brocco Power (sulforaphane)

Step 2: Calcium D-Glucarate

Step 3: DIM

Why DIM alone may not be enough

DIM has become the “estrogen buster” of the supplement world. While it can be an effective supplement for some, it doesn’t work as well alone.

In fact, many women say they felt worse after taking it.

It's most likely due to the fact that DIM upregulates Phase I liver detoxification, opening the floodgates of this phase but leaves the remaining parts of the liver unsupported and overwhelmed by this flooding.

To fully detox excess estrogens, the body also needs a well-supported Phase II liver detoxification.

You only feel your best when both Phase I and Phase II pathways are nutritionally supported and symptoms of Estrogen Dominance are reduced.

A toilet analogy may help here...

To fully understand the 3-Step Complete Estrogen Detoxification process, let’s use a clogged toilet analogy.

DIM will open up the first part of the detoxification process (being the toilet bowl) while Brocco Power (sulforaphane) and Calcium D-glucarate will open up the remaining detoxification (being the drain).

DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA, THE UK, AUSTRALIA OR OTHER COUNTRIES?

Unfortunately, at this point we only ship to the United States. This is due to the ever-evolving international laws surrounding supplements.

There are forwarding companies like MyUS.com, that will forward orders to you in your country for a fee.

In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to find out in advance if the supplement in question is legal in their country. For example, Progesterone and DHEA are not legal to ship into Canada (Canada classifies bio-identical hormones as drugs so they can only be prescribed by a doctor or naturopath).

We have had customers successfully ship their supplements abroad using MyUS.com, however we have only limited experience with this service.

WHY DOES SHIPPING COST $11.45?

For small businesses like ours, the shipping fee covers the very real costs of getting your order to you: shipping, handling, packaging, warehousing, insurances, and fairly compensating all the people involved along the way. We do our best to keep this shipping cost as low as possible, and offer FREE shipping for orders $97 and above.

WHY DOES MY SUBSCRIPTION ORDER INCLUDE $11.45 SHIPPING?

If you set up a subscription order and notice that you are being charged shipping, it could be due to one of these reasons:

1. Your order value is under $97

2. Your initial order qualifies for free shipping, but the order frequency on your subscriptions is different ( 1 product is set to ship every month, the other is set to ship every 2 months).

*The system automatically splits this kind of order into 2 separate shipments.

In this case it is more economical to set up one subscription every 2 months, and to increase your quantity to 2 units of the supplement that you consume monthly.

For example: 2 Vitamin B6 + 1 Essential Omegas every 2 months = free shipping.

Please email us at support@hormonesbalance.com if you would like some help managing your subscriptions.
