I think this Vitamin C has helped heal my intestinal lining (leaky gut issues) and clear my skin. Along with the extra immune support. Definitely an extra “burst” that I needed!

How Vitamin C can help hormones

  • Key nutrient in progesterone production
  • Required for making catecholamines, aka stress hormones, supporting the adrenal glands
  • May reduce heavy periods
  • May act as a natural antihistamine
  • May help regulate T3, T4, and TSH levels in thyroid patients

How Vitamin C may support skin health and rejuvenation

  • Helps collagen production
  • Reduces inflammatory responses
  • May relieve rosacea and inflammatory skin conditions
  • May decrease the look of “age spots”
  • Can repair past damage from the sun
  • Can protect from sun damage
Did You Know?
During times of stress, our need for Vitamin C increases.

Vitamin C deficiency may appear as:

  • Tiredness and weakness
  • Muscle and joint pains
  • Easy bruising
  • Spots that look like tiny, red-blue bruises on your skin
  • Dry skin
  • Splitting hair
  • Swelling and discoloration of your gums
  • Sudden and unexpected bleeding from your gums
  • Nosebleeds
  • Poor healing of wounds
  • Problems fighting infections
  • Bleeding into joints, causing severe joint pains
  • Changes in your bones
  • Tooth loss
  • Weight loss
Vitamin C: Beyond Immune Support Vitamin C is a highly underestimated vitamin when it comes to balancing hormones. Sufficient amount of vitamin C helps with progesterone production and nourishes adrenal health. I personally also use it for clear, healthy skin as Vitamin C is a building block for collagen production. – MAGDALENA WSZELAKI, FOUNDER OF WELLENA

How much Vitamin C do I take? Try the "bowel challenge"

Vitamin C RDA might only be 65 to 90mg/day, but in reality, most people who are depleted in vitamin C may need much higher doses. We recommend temporary mega-dosing to replenish your levels, then back off. So how much should you take?

Try the "bowel challenge" method. The idea is to dose up on vitamin C until you get a loose stool - this is your body's signal that it's saturated in Vitamin C, and it's time to back off. See the chart here for guidance:

Zinc Supports natural progesterone production and a healthy immune response $24.00
Digestive Bitters Kit Aids digestion and liver detoxification $48.60

Frequently Asked Questions

Vitamin C Burst is rich in vitamin C (from a mixture of ascorbic acid and acerola fruit) and plant bioflavonoids (hesperidin, rutin, quercetin, and mixed citrus bioflavonoids), known for their immunoprotective properties and support of progesterone production.

In addition to supporting healthy hormonal and immune function, these nutrients have been used historically for applications such as maintaining healthy veins, capillaries, skin, hair, and nails by supporting normal collagen production and repair.

The recommended dose is 1-2 capsules per day, or as directed by your health practitioner. Increase the dose is doing the "bowel challenge" - see the above instructions.
There is 500 mg of vitamin C in each serving (1 capsule) of Vitamin C Burst.

DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA, THE UK, AUSTRALIA OR OTHER COUNTRIES?

Unfortunately, at this point we only ship to the United States. This is due to the ever-evolving international laws surrounding supplements.

There are forwarding companies like MyUS.com, that will forward orders to you in your country for a fee.

In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to find out in advance if the supplement in question is legal in their country. For example, Progesterone and DHEA are not legal to ship into Canada (Canada classifies bio-identical hormones as drugs so they can only be prescribed by a doctor or naturopath).

We have had customers successfully ship their supplements abroad using MyUS.com, however we have only limited experience with this service.

WHY DOES SHIPPING COST $11.45?

For small businesses like ours, the shipping fee covers the very real costs of getting your order to you: shipping, handling, packaging, warehousing, insurances, and fairly compensating all the people involved along the way. We do our best to keep this shipping cost as low as possible, and offer FREE shipping for orders $97 and above.

WHY DOES MY SUBSCRIPTION ORDER INCLUDE $11.45 SHIPPING?

If you set up a subscription order and notice that you are being charged shipping, it could be due to one of these reasons:

1. Your order value is under $97

2. Your initial order qualifies for free shipping, but the order frequency on your subscriptions is different ( 1 product is set to ship every month, the other is set to ship every 2 months).

*The system automatically splits this kind of order into 2 separate shipments.

In this case it is more economical to set up one subscription every 2 months, and to increase your quantity to 2 units of the supplement that you consume monthly.

For example: 2 Vitamin B6 + 1 Essential Omegas every 2 months = free shipping.

Please email us at support@hormonesbalance.com if you would like some help managing your subscriptions.
